WASHINGTON -- U.S. Rep. Tom Marino, PA-10, introduced legislation on Thursday that would freeze most federal hiring until the federal deficit is eliminated.
The Federal Hiring Freeze Act of 2011 is the first bill introduced by Marino since he took office on Jan. 5.
WASHINGTON (May 2, 2011) -- U.S. Rep. Tom Marino fielded questions and comments ranging from Social Security to rising gasoline prices from Bradford County residents during a May 2 telephone townhall.
Marino, a freshman lawmaker from Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District, conducted the townhall meeting from his Washington, D.C., office. About 3,500 residents were on the call.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Tom Marino, PA-10, voted on Thursday to fund the government through the end of the fiscal year while defunding health care reform and Planned Parenthood.
Marino voted in favor of H.R. 1473, a measure that cuts more than $38 billion in federal spending while funding the government through the end of September. The House approved the measure by a 260-167 vote.
WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Tom Marino’s three constituent service centers in the 10th Congressional District are operating on a full-time basis, it was announced by District Director David Weber.
Office hours at the three sites – in Sunbury, Tunkhannock and Williamsport – are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
