Rep. Marino responds to Orlando Terror Attack
Washington, D.C. — Rep. Tom Marino (PA-10) released the following statement following the terror attack in Orlando, FL on June 12, 2016:
“I am disgusted by the heinous terror attack carried out in Orlando. Radical Islamic terrorism is an incredibly serious threat not only in the Middle East, but here at home as well. The United States has just suffered the largest mass shooting in its history, but our resolve has never been stronger. It is clear the victims were targeted because of their sexual orientation. When one American is attacked, we all are. I support the gay community in their time of grief and will stop at nothing to root out extremists intent on bringing harm to the United States.
“My deepest condolences are with the victims, their families and the community affected by this senseless tragedy. I am thankful for the quick and determined response by our law enforcement officials on the ground who prevented an even greater loss of life. “
