Congressman Marino to Host Small Business Technology Event
Washington D.C.—Congressman Tom Marino (PA-10) will host the second annual business technology event on Friday, November 6 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Ramada Clarks Summit.
Congressman Marino aims to help the small business community by bringing the experts to our area for a seminar titled “Tips from the Pros: Using Technology and Online Tools to Boost Your Small Business.” Representatives from Google, Paypal and Microsoft will discuss the latest updates on their products and services. Valuable tips for using Facebook, Twitter, and Yelp will also be presented.
“I know it is difficult for small business owners to keep up with the demands of today’s consumer while managing the daily operation of their businesses,” said Marino. “I’m hoping to help by bringing all of these resources into one room where they can provide information and answer specific questions.”
Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to talk with staff from The University of Scranton Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and other local organizations to learn about small business resources available to help improve their business and grow their customer base.
“Many of our small business clients know these new technologies are valuable, but struggle to find the time to implement them and measure their results,” said Lisa Hall Zielinski, director of The University of Scranton SBDC. “Our goal is to help them take the information they learn at this seminar one step further and use it to grow their businesses.”
