Clarks Summit, PA -- U.S. Representative Tom Marino (R-PA) hosted a farewell brunch for 10th District Service Academy nominees this past weekend.  Students reported to their respective academies earlier this week for swearing in ceremonies and the commencement of summer training.

“Every year I have the privilege of nominating our district’s most qualified and accomplished young men and women,” Marino said.  “The commitment to serve our nation at the highest level is a noble decision, and I look forward to seeing these future leaders shape our nation in the years to come.”

Families and members of Marino’s Service Academy Nomination Board were also in attendance for the sendoff brunch.

The application deadline for the 2013-14 school year is October 4, 2013.  Interested students are encouraged to contact Mr. Philip Pulizzi in Marino’s Washington Office at (202) 225-3731, as soon as possible.
